Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) provides diagnostic imaging services to incarcerated individuals. This role is responsible for performing radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and working within correctional facility protocols to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and specialized radiographic imaging studies as ordered by medical staff.

Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring comfort and compliance with safety protocols.

Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Follow infection control, HIPAA, and correctional facility security guidelines.

Maintain detailed imaging records, documentation, and reports in accordance with healthcare and institutional standards.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support patient care.

Participate in hands-on training and orientation to adapt to correctional facility processes.

Qualifications

Current ARRT certification and valid state licensure (as required).

Experience in diagnostic radiology; prior correctional or institutional experience a plus.

Strong technical knowledge of radiographic equipment and radiation safety practices.

Ability to work independently and effectively within a secure environment.

Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational skills.
