Legal Senior Counsel, Market Access – Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Vertex is a global biotechnology company that creates new possibilities in medicine to cure diseases and improve people’s lives. The company currently markets four drugs that treat cystic fibrosis and is investing billions of dollars into a deep pipeline of future therapies.

We are looking for a solutions‑oriented healthcare attorney to provide proactive strategic and tactical legal support across market access, government pricing, and policy functions. This role is based in the US and is remote‑eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise business partners on commercial and regulatory initiatives to advance strategy while mitigating legal risk and protecting company reputation.
• Provide legal counsel on market access & reimbursement, contracting, anti‑kickback statutes, Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, Veterans Health Care Act, government pricing, and state drug‑price reporting transparency laws.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies, and customers.
• Contribute to legal & compliance initiatives, including committees and presentations.
• Review internal and external materials for accuracy and compliance.

$212,800 - $319,200
