Family Preservation Worker

Do you have a Bachelor's degree in social work or comparable human service field and two years' field experience working with multi-problem children and families in a family-centered, solution focused environment?

We have a full time opportunity in Wayne County! This is a full time position that pays $38,480.00 annually.

You can make a big impact with children and families in your own local community if you have a degree in social work or related field. We are on the hunt for a person-centric colleague to join our Families First of Michigan team doing impactful work!

This vital role involves intensive, home-based, 28-day interventions that focus on the family's strengths, utilizing their own resilience, as they become self-sufficient. Our staff spend an average of 10 hours a week, face-to-face with each household, with the goal of keeping children with their families. In speaking with our program supervisor, you will grow personally and professionally as you assist families in crisis hopefully remain whole.

Job Summary

Provides intensive, short term or long-term in-home crisis intervention and family education, based on program specification, to families at risk of out-of-home placement to children due to abuse, neglect, delinquency or homelessness related to domestic violence.
