Job OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Lead Toddler Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of each child, fostering their growth and learning.
- Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, cognitive and social development.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language, and motor skills.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive classroom experience.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain classroom management by establishing clear rules and expectations while promoting positive behavior.
- Organize activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred or a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed daycare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- First aid / CPR certification and MAT training required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues and an ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- A nurturing attitude with a passion for teaching young children.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
