Job descriptionOversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely billing for services provided Manage a team of billing specialists, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and requirements Monitor accounts receivable, resolve discrepancies, and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances Partner with internal departments to streamline billing processes and enhance efficiency Generate reports and provide analysis on billing performance, collections, and reimbursement trends Serve as a point of contact for escalated billing issues and ensure prompt resolution Stay current with changes in billing regulations, reimbursement policies, and industry best practices Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of billing experience in healthcare or senior living, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing requirements Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
