Skills : Qualifications : Board certified Physician. Must be able to provide verification of credentials and proof of malpractice insurance. Experience practicing General Medicine. Ability to begin work as soon as possible. Experience working with inmate populations or in inmate facilities, preferred.Job Description : Dymentum Health is seeking two Physicians to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the inmate population at a local Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Terre Haute, Indiana. Responsibilities : Take medical histories, examine patients, and order / interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and x - rays. Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications. Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing. Attend to medical emergencies. Document in the Bureaus Electronic Medical Record (BEMR on each inmate the same day that the inmate is evaluated. Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultations, instruct / counsel and order or carry out therapy. Emergency consultation to be performed by the Physicians in instances where deemed necessary. Minor surgeries utilizing local anesthesia may be performed during consultation visits. Call outside hospitals to document the status of our inmates admitted to various hospitals as determined by the Clinical Director or his designee. Conduct 14 day chronic care clinic (CCC) assessment and conduct the CCCs to ensure compliance with AAAHC, ACA, and Program Review guidelines. Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s), consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans; assists in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of the health care services and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems. Manage the daily operation of the CCC clinic and may be required to conducts sick call, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations. Provides a wide range of emergency services, including primary care for trauma and life - saving procedures. Comments : This position is a 1099 Contractor position.
