Accommodated Testing Coordinator
The Supervisor, Accommodated Testing Operations, is responsible for leading daily operations of the high-volume Accommodated Testing Office within the Accessibility and Disability Service (ADS). Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations and Services, the Supervisor ensures the secure, efficient, and accessible delivery of exams in compliance with institutional policy, ADA guidelines, and faculty requirements.
This position thrives in a fast-paced, student-focused environment and requires strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Serving as a key liaison among students, faculty, and campus partners, the Coordinator manages testing logistics, evolving priorities, and staff supervision with professionalism and precision. The office administers over 18,000 exams annually for students with disabilities, including accommodations such as extended time, reduced distraction spaces, and assistive technology. The role oversees two Assistant Coordinators, one Testing Assistant, contingent staff, and graduate student workers. Evening and weekend hours are required during final exam periods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Accommodated Testing Operations
- Provide operational leadership for the daily functions of the Accommodated Testing Office
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient, compliant, and student-centered testing services
- Supervise daily testing operations, including staffing, scheduling, testing room assignments, and exam logistics
- Maintain accurate testing records, including but not limited to incident reports, reservation changes, and academic department / professor requests
- Manage the test reservation system and logistics of test room reservations
- Serve as a resource for students and faculty navigating complex testing concerns or academic integrity matters
- Collaborate with ADS staff and campus partners to support testing accommodation implementation
- Maintain sufficient testing resources (ie, seating, supplies, and assistive technology)
- Foster relationships with departments, instructors, and campus partners
- Supervision of Accommodated Testing Staff
- Recruit, interview, and supervise the Accommodated Testing Office staff
- Hold regular weekly supervision meetings, conduct Performance Review Development evaluations (PRDs), and manage time and leave approvals for supervisees
- Coordinate regular biweekly team meetings
- Oversee training and onboarding for all testing staff, including proctors and preppers
- Data Management Operations
- Primary in-house expert for database management system related to Accommodated Testing modules, providing troubleshooting and coordination as needed with system tech support
- Track and report key data for internal planning and contribute to the Accommodated Testing sections of the ADS Annual Report
- Use data to evaluate office effectiveness and guide continuous improvement
- Design systems to collect and analyze testing data to inform strategic decision-making
- Other duties as assigned

Education : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience : Three (3) years of providing academic support services to students. One (1) experience leading or supervising professional staff.Other : Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :Knowledge of testing policies and protocols to ensure fairness, confidentiality, integrity, and ethics.Skill in using analytic research and data analysis to make legally sound recommendations and decisions.Skill in oral and written communication.Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.Ability to solve problems independently and proactively.Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards.Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
