What You'll Do

* Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing

* Unload materials from incoming trucks and stack them safely in their designated areas

* Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code

* Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method

* Assist in counting of physical inventory

* Coordinate the stacking of material in the warehouse

* Maintain good general housekeeping, keeping clean equipment and work area. Keep all tools in good working condition

* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

* Ensure that all materials picked up and moved to the processing area are properly handled and located
