Job descriptionEnsures accurate and timely record-keeping. Conducts intakes and screenings on potential clients. Develops client treatment plans with clients and the treatment team. Facilitates groups and lectures for clients. Shall have State licensure or certification in Texas (e.g., LCDC, LPC LMSW, etc.). Shall have three years experience in substance abuse counseling and / or mental health treatment. Bilingual (speaking English and Spanish) preferred.

The licensed chemical dependency counselor plays a key role in delivering substance abuse treatment services under the Clinical Program Director’s supervision.

- Provides counseling activities with direction from the Clinical Program Director.
- Delivers alcohol and drug abuse treatment services with the Clinical Program Director.
- Completes duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Reports all alleged incidents of abuse or neglect to DSHS as set forth by §448.
