Job Description
Electrician Maintenance Worker, is responsible for maintaining electrical systems in
facility. Their duties include communicating with clients to establish job details and related
costs, reviewing electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits and coordinating with team
members to install light fixtures and other electrical items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must comply with all company safety policies at all times
- Oversee apprentices as well as providing guidance and leadership
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Troubleshoot and test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and test lamps
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair, and to ensure compliance with local codes
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
- Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
- Attend in-house training
- Availability to work overtime and / or irregular business hours as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current Journeyman or Master ElectricianMaintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations4 or more years of previous electrical experienceAbility to develop communication, planning, and trainingAbility to work off all types of ladders and elevated platformsAble to work at elevated heights of up to 50 feet on ladders, platforms and aerial lifts or other safe work areasAble to work in restricted areas, utility tunnels and crawl spacesAble to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overheadAble to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overheadSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent experience in performing electrical work on industrial site.Sound knowledge of electrical construction process for projects.Profound knowledge of electrical wiring and related equipment's.Ability to analyze complex technical issues for electrical processes.Ensured compliance to company policies and OSHA regulations.Participated in company meetings as per supervisor requirement.LICENSE / CERTIFICATION :
