General Summary of Position

Unit Highlights

The nurses on 5 North West (5NW) provide care to primarily post-surgical patients that are typically admitted for a short stay. We accept patients who receive surgery from services such as Endocrinology, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Bariatric, and Gender Affirmation. 5NW offers patients who have planned surgery the opportunity to reserve a private suite which includes a gourmet dining menu, a spacious living room, kitchen, and master bathroom. As a small 11 bed unit, our nurses provide excellent service while having the ability to work in a unique healing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
