Position Overview

The Loan Servicing Clerk I performs a variety of routine administrative and loan servicing tasks to support the daily operations of the lending department. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with numbers, documentation, and customer inquiries in a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process loan payments, disbursements, changes, and other servicing transactions.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of loan documents.
  • Perform calculations for loan distributions and escrow balances.
  • Monitor escrow payments and track loan delinquencies.
  • Research customer and internal inquiries, providing accurate and timely responses or resolutions.
  • Maintain required electronic loan files and update system records as needed.
  • Support the servicing team and supervisor with additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–1 year of related experience preferred; training provided for entry-level candidates.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of loan servicing or financial operations is helpful but not required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working in electronic systems. Excel skills a must.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary : $41,600 – $45,000, depending on experience.
  • Candidates with significant prior loan servicing experience may be considered for a higher range.
  • Please note : Peak Asset Lending does not currently offer medical, dental, or 401(k) benefits.
