Environmental Abatement Technician

Job Summary

The Abatement Technician is responsible for performing asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects in full compliance with company policies, established health and safety procedures, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos abatement fieldwork under direct or indirect supervision.
• Complete all required documentation accurately, including timesheets, daily reports, driver's logs, and safety meeting forms.
• Follow detailed project scopes to ensure compliance with contracts, schedules, and company policies.
• Maintain strict adherence to company, client, and regulatory safety standards during all work activities.
• Work in confined or restricted areas, requiring squatting, crawling, or extended periods of physical activity.
• Safely operate and inspect vehicles in accordance with license requirements.
• Travel out of town for extended projects (two weeks or more) as needed.
• Perform year-round outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Safely execute duties in challenging environments, including exposure to heat, cold, heights, hazardous materials, loud noise, heavy equipment, and long hours.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged standing, walking, crouching, manual tasks, and lifting 50+ pounds.
• Remain clean-shaven at all times to ensure proper respirator fit and seal.
