Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, Android OEM GTM

This role is for the Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, Android OEM GTM at Google. This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. With your business acumen and product knowledge, you will interact with partners to help them grow using Google's offerings. The Global Partnerships organization partners with Google’s Product teams to enable partnerships that support Google’s user experiences across advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments, and more.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Note : compensation details reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and program management for Android Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Partnerships, defining and executing commercial programs aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage partner relationships for GTM activities, collaborating with internal teams (Business Development, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Finance) to drive Android growth, identify new opportunities, and maintain consultative relationships with hardware partners.
  • Analyze industry and performers to find differentiation opportunities and guide programs and commercial strategy to expand ecosystem globally.
  • Lead initiatives, including budget / investment management, to optimize Google's GTM funding for partners. Ensure high ROI for premium device activations and Android market share growth. Identify, negotiate, and implement business development agreements.
  • Be the source for partner sales performance, driving decisions and growth. Forecast and report business growth and key metrics, track progress, drive new opportunities, and resolve partner issues.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the Consumer Electronics, OEMs, Telecom, Apps, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships and GTM strategies.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with smartphone sales planning and execution in retail / telephone company.
  • Experience successfully negotiating agreements with various channels (Carriers, Retailers, or E-Tailers).
  • Understanding of consumer electronics and the mobile value chain.
  • Ability to zoom from strategy to execution.
  • Ability to take accountability and ownership to get necessary outcome.
  • Ability to turn a high level concept into a well defined narrative with executive ready materials with excellent communication skills.
