Job description

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have an Administrative Assistant / Benefits Assistant opportunity with a prestigious university. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven academic environment while supporting the admissions and student services process.

The Administrative Assistant / Benefits Assistant is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include :

  • Serve as the receptionist by greeting and directing guests, answering phones professionally, directing callers, and taking messages.
  • Process office mail by retrieving, sorting, distributing, and preparing it for delivery.
  • Maintain and reorder office supplies as needed.
  • Assist Human Resources Associate with off-boarding processes.
  • Support Benefits Manager during Open Enrollment and bi-weekly benefits deduction audits.
  • Assist Human Resources Consultants in setting up New Hire Orientation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President, including calendar management.

Required qualifications for the position include :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred qualifications for the position include :

  • Experience in Human Resources or Benefits administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with benefit enrollment processes and payroll deductions.
  • Pay Rate : $20.00 per hour.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
