Job description

Medical Assistant

HSHS Medical Group and Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants are seeking Medical Assistants to join our patient care teams at a variety of locations and specialties. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a primary care, specialty, or priority care setting. Clinic MAs are responsible for rooming and assessment of patients, preparing examination rooms, and coordination of care. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Position(s) Specifics :

  • Specialties : Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Family Practice, Specialty Clinics, or Priority Care
  • Schedule : Full time, 40 hours / week Monday-Friday, no Weekends
  • Clinic Location(s) : Choose from Springfield, Chatham, Decatur, Effingham and Rochester IL and surrounding central IL area locations.
  • Sign On : up to $5,000

Education Qualifications :

  • Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
  • 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience may be considered in lieu of completion of program per department discretion.
  • Experience Qualifications :

  • One year of clinical experience - Preferred
  • Certifications, Licenses and Registrations :

  • Medical Assistant (MA) Certification / Registration required or must be obtained within 90 days of start date from one of the following credentialing organizations :
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required within 60 days of hire.
