Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 30 a.m.- 5 : 00 p.m. (Winter shelter season alters hours)

What would you do as a Path Outreach Specialist?

As a PATH Outreach Specialist at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a crucial role in supporting the homeless population living with mental illness or substance use disorders. Your responsibilities will include conducting outreach, psychological needs assessments, and developing initial plan of care and service provider linkage, monitoring, advocacy. By offering assistance with basic physical, financial, social, and personal needs, you will make a direct and meaningful impact on improving the lives of those in vulnerable situations.

What you need to be successful

The knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services (such as Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Counseling) and one year of experience working with the target population; OR,
• Five years of equivalent work experience working with the target population
• Valid Driver's License
