Luxor Nursing and Rehabilitation at Mills Pond  is actively seeking an experienced full time  Admissions Coordinato r for our skilled nursing facility located Saint James, NY

PRIOR ADMISSIONS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!!!

DUTIES :

• Ensure a consistent & effective process for coordination of admissions with appropriate departments and staff
• Understand the admissions process including policy, procedures, pre-admission assessment skills and admission paperwork requirements
• Maintain contact with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage word-of-mouth referral activities
• Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare / Medicaid / Managed Care reimbursement processes
• Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition
• Handle inquiry calls from hospitals, families, etc. & provide appointments that include a presentation, tour and closing
