Description : Position Purpose :
The Assembly Operator’s primary function is to perform assembly tasks and ensure a high-quality product is ready to send directly to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sanding, gluing, cleaning, packaging of product on a frequent basis.
- Using pneumatic glue guns, pneumatic orbital sander, and assorted power and hand tools on a frequent basis.
- Clean work environment daily.
- Using assorted tools, chemicals, and techniques that meets customer and company requirements and prepares packages for shipment.
- Use timeclock system to track hours worked and time spent in jobs.
- Read and follow process instructions diligently.
- Follow and practice safety procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities to be assigned as needed.
Requirements :
Experience, Qualifications, and Skillset :
Team oriented required.Detailed oriented with strong attention for accuracy required.Read, write, and be conversant in the English language required.Ability to perform basic computerized time clock data entry required.High school diploma or GED preferred.Minimum of three months assembly experience preferred.Ability to use measurement equipment (i.e. calipers, height gauges, tape measures) preferred.Physical Requirements and Work Environment :
Usual production environment involves frequent standing, walking, and sitting, and occasionally climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and balancing.Postures include forceful gripping and pinching, repetitive gripping, precision work, stationary standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, lifting, pulling, finger manipulations, and repetitive wrist movements.Occasionally lifts, carries and balances up to 35 pounds alone, uses team work for up to 75 pounds.Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination.Verbal and auditory capacity, with or without assistance, enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.Visual capacity could include one or more of the following depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision enabling operation of machinery.Ability to move from department and buildings to interact with others.
