Certification and License Requirements :

Valid RN License (must be verified on profile)

BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course - Passed and documentation on profile required

AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course and EFM Certification - Preferred

Note : All certifications must be current and must be uploaded to the profile for verification.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide specialized nursing care for high-acuity labor and delivery patients in a 19-bed unit.

Monitor fetal and maternal status closely, utilizing advanced fetal monitoring skills.

Manage complex cases confidently, handling high-acuity scenarios with professionalism and expertise.

Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Float as needed to other campuses or units within the facility, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Work 12 hours per 6-week schedule, with call requirements as specified.

Fully utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient care management.

Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and standards of care.

What You Bring :

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience in a high-volume or high-acuity setting.

Previous travel nursing experience preferred, demonstrating adaptability to diverse environments.

Ability to handle high-acuity, complex patients with confidence and precision.

Proven proficiency in fetal monitoring, including passing the AWHONN intermediate course.

Strong communication skills and the ability to function seamlessly within a team.

Flexibility to float across different units and campuses.

Ability to work independently under pressure, with excellent clinical judgment.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Degree : RN Licensure in good standing, with accreditation listed on profile or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience.

Experience working in hospital settings with high patient acuity.

Prior travel or agency nursing background highly desirable.

Additional Details :

Location : Must reside within 50 miles of GCMC for compliance (Radius Rule).

Scrub Color : Galaxy Blue and / or White.

Schedule Requests / RTO : Must be submitted at the time of application; requests will not be approved post-submission.
