TITLE: Project Business Manager REPORTS TO: Director – Commercial, Contracts, and Administration DEPARTMENT: Commercial, Contracts, and Administration SUPERVISES: Project Controls, Estimating, Contracts/Sub-contracts, Document Control, Procurement, and Proposal Teams EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education and Experience are as follows: • Bachelor degree in Business Administration preferred • Minimum 10 years experience preferable in the upstream side of Oil and Gas Business • At least 5 years of Financial experience in Engineering and Project Financial Controls • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle, project accounting and flexibility to adapt to changing project complexities • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to multi-task PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Major responsibilities can be summarized as follows: • Coordinate financial and business activities on projects • Supervise and manage project controls, estimating, contracts, procurement and document control personnel on the project • Implement sound business practices on projects that align with company goals • Responsible for business planning, overhead management, cash management, accurate financial reporting Specific Duties include: • Lead project specific development of financial strategies and reporting/project accounting/cost control/scheduling/invoicing requirements • Direct and participate in development of project financial burn/revenue analysis, project labor forecasts, inter-office agreements, sub-contract agreements, cash management forecasts, month end reporting and revenue recognition activities • Oversee and coordinate development of Project Management Plan, Project Review Action Plan, Project Financial Work Plan, Project Travel and Expense Guideline and Monthly Project Progress Reports • Coordinate the development of project schedule and the preparation and analysis of schedule baseline and progress schedule reporting • Analyze variances in cost and schedule against the estimates • Identify trends and deviations and recommend solutions or recovery plans for multiple financial scenarios related to project performance • Provide oversight and guidance to project business team by providing appropriate financial documentation, data analysis and reports • Supervise project document control activities • Lead project financial communication in review meetings • Oversee and coordinate project cost estimating activities including preparation of monthly cost reports and change management reportsProject Business Manager • Houston, Texas, US
