About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (19 : 00 - 03 : 30)

License : CA license required

Certifications : BLS, CBSPD or IAHCSMM

Must-Have :

First-timers accepted.

Floating required between locations.

Weekend rotation requirement based on unit needs.

Description :

The Sterile Processing Tech will ensure the proper cleaning, processing, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.

They will be responsible for high-level disinfection and steam sterilization testing / monitoring.

Knowledge of biological and chemical indicators is necessary for quality control.

The role will require assembly of sets and trays, and the proper selection of wrapping materials.

Experience with various scopes and endoscopic procedures is preferred.

Candidates will float between different departments based on census needs.

Weekend and holiday work may be required as per unit demands.

Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

They must adhere to all safety and compliance standards in sterile processing.

A reference within the last 2 years is required.

Candidates must be ready to present their RTO at the time of submission.

Previous permanent staff are not eligible to apply.
