We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Nov 13, 2025, and consists of 12-hour day shifts, including 6a-6p coverage and collaboration with a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Fast Track from 10a-10p. Board certification in Emergency Medical Services and active Louisiana licensure are required. Job Details Location : Louisiana Start Date : Nov 13, 2025 LOA : 120 days Provider Type Needed : Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule : 42 shifts per month; 12-hour shifts (6a-6p); NP / PA in Fast Track 10a-10p Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a range of acute conditions Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the Fast Track area Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient encounters Maintain a high standard of patient safety and quality care Adhere to protocols and standards required by the department Additional Information Must have an active Louisiana medical license Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with PALS, ATLS, and ACLS certifications Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience required Required certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Board certification in Emergency Medical Services required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
