Summary

Our instruction focuses on language and communication development through participation in exploration, play and socialization opportunities, activities of daily living, and evidence-based curriculum activities.
Duties
The 4K First Steps Teacher is responsible for working with the Assistant Teacher in implementing the Creative Curriculum, working with the 4K First Steps Coach, generate weekly individualized lesson plans, completing parent engagement activities, completing checkpoints per student across domains by established deadlines, providing age-appropriate instruction, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom, maintaining children's hygiene, monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, working with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way, assisting with serving meals, and teach school readiness skills. The Teacher ensures a safe and stimulating classroom environment and actively engage, encourage, care for and nurture preschool students.
Ratio is 2 teachers to 17 Students.
Training is required throughout the year, including attending a 4K conference once a year and other in-person and online trainings. All required training is paid for by the Center.
We offer competitive hourly wages, 40 hours of accrued PTO for sick / personal days, a 2 week paid winter holiday, a1-week paid summer vacation other paid holidays throughout the year for employees in good standing.
Shift is 8 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm M-F with a one hour lunch break and scheduled time for lesson pklanning.
