Elaine Ellis Center of Health, a federally qualified healthcare center, DC is looking for a full time general dentist to join our growing dental team. We have offices in DC and College Park, MD. A qualified candidate will have a valid and current license and DEA for both DC and Maryland. We offer a competitive salary, 15 days of PTO accrued annually, medical, vision, dental and life insurance, as well as a 401K program and loan repayment through the HRSA job corp.

Elaine Ellis Center of Health, a federally qualified healthcare center, DC is looking for a full time general dentist to join our growing dental team. We have offices in DC and College Park, MD. Specific job duties :

Adhere to approved practice standards and protocols from the DC Board of Dentistry and Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners.

Perform all functions in the diagnosis of oral diseases and the promotion of oral health and disease prevention.

Create treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of patients.

Interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.

Ensure the safe administration of anesthetics.

Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.

Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.

Provide patient education on a variety of topic including dental hygiene and oral care.

Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate.

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Record and maintain patient information accurately and timely.

Communicate with and treat patients via telehealth.

Provide on-call and after-hours coverage.

Provide education to patients and community members.

Refer patients to other providers and specialists as appropriate.

Consult with and provide consulting services to other providers.

Participate in provider meetings and other Center meetings as needed.

Adhere to the Uniform Data System (UDS) productivity standards.

Participate in outreach and offsite programs as assigned.

Attend and participate in teaching and general staff conferences.

Continually update education, therapeutic techniques and methodology; apply new knowledge to your position.

Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
