Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140 - $2290

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : 30-bed medical surgical unit and 8-bed progressive care unit

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Day / Night); every other weekend and holiday

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

Charting System : Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active South Dakota RN license or compact state nursing license

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

Clinical skills in Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care

Experience with Epic documentation, Alaris pumps, and Acudose medication systems preferred

Ability to float to other Med-Surg units as needed

RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care for diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and complex medical cases

Administer oxygen therapy, IV medications, monitor moderate sedation, assist with bronchoscopies, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and both non-invasive and mechanical ventilation

Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry for medical-surgical patients

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Advocate for patient safety and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Engage in unit-based committees and ongoing professional development

Participate in comprehensive orientation and training programs
