Overview

Point Wild is seeking a Lead Data Architect / Acting Product Owner to own the technical vision, high-level design, and functional roadmap for the Lat 61 platform, a next-generation platform to ingest, normalize, and enrich diverse data sources for AI, analytics, and decision-making. The role combines technical leadership with product ownership and requires guiding data architecture across multi-cloud environments.

Day to Day / Responsibilities

Own the Data Architecture : Define and evolve the end-to-end technical architecture of the Lat 61 platform, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and performance.

Platform Product Ownership : Act as the functional product owner, translating strategic goals into platform capabilities, MVP scope, and technical priorities.

Data Platform Design : Build and maintain multi-modal data strategies, incorporating lakehouse patterns, open data formats (Parquet, Delta), and APIs for data access.

AI / ML Data Enablement : Design infrastructure to support advanced AI / ML workflows, including vector databases, graph stores, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

Multi-Cloud Leadership : Guide deployment across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring portability, resilience, and compliance.

Stakeholder Alignment : Partner with business leaders to balance innovation with near-term deliverables; lead design sessions and communicate trade-offs clearly.

Governance & Standards : Establish best practices for data quality, security, lineage, and lifecycle management.

What you bring to the table

8+ years experience as a data architect in B2B SaaS organizations.

Experience serving as a product owner or technical lead, balancing competing priorities to deliver high-impact MVPs.

Proven track record designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade data architectures.

Deep expertise in lakehouse architectures, open data formats (Parquet, Delta), and large-scale data pipelines.

Strong experience with multi-cloud deployments, hybrid data environments, and interoperability.

Demonstrated understanding of AI / ML data needs, including vector databases, graph stores, and RAG frameworks.

Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technical vision with organizational strategy.
