Position : Software Vehicle Test, Triage Engineer

Location : Santa Clara, CA (100% onsite + OT)

Number of Openings : 2

Preferred Candidate Background : Tesla, Waymo, Zoox, Cruise, GM, Motional, Lucid

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end AV software testing for autonomous driving functions (like ACC, LK etc.) & parking, collaborating with teams across Automotive platform.
  • Validate Drive product in the car and review requirements, develop test metrics, and establish KPI-metrics evaluation.
  • Design test routes and perform in-car tests at larger scale to ensure SW quality meets end-user expectations.
  • Report events per defined protocols including Safety and work with collaborators to improve the reports and communication.
  • Travel to different locations to perform in-car testing based on test plans to collect proving ground and public road scenarios for comprehensive real-world testing for ADAS / AS SW features.
  • Collect quality and valuable expert feedback from in-car test drives and present them with multi-functional feature PICs / Leads.
  • Debug issues, collaborate with engineers to identify root causes, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Be an expert in Triage or debugging tools and report issues in proper categorization.
  • Work closely with the Development team to understand implementation and drive fixes to improve product quality.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of in-car testing experience for ADAS features.
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Linux / QNX systems.
  • Technical in nature and able to elaborate as needed from the lowest detail to the highest-level vision of the job.
  • Prior experience in Vehicle bring-up, Verification, and Validation test at large scale.
  • Prior experience on AV Triage workflows.
  • Ability to efficiently work with multiple teams.
  • 7 days testing operation with 5 days (40hrs) / week commitment.

    • Ways to Stand Out

  • Proven large-scale in-car test experience in autonomous Driving (L2 / L2+ / L2++ / L3) and Parking product with excellence in debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ready to travel domestic or international as required.
  • Experience in AV development, testing, or Automotive Standards ISO26262, ISO21448.
  • A valid Driving License.
