- FTE Status : Contingent
- Schedule : Days / Nights, 12‑hour shifts
- Location : Pontiac / Oakland County, Michigan - Trinity Health Oakland Hospital
Requirements
Current board certification in one of the following disciplines :
PA‑C (Physician Assistant‑Certified)AGACNP (Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)ACNPC or ACNPC‑AG (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)Minimum of 1‑2 years of post‑graduate experience in an inpatient neurology or hospital‑based setting (stroke or neurological disorders experience preferred)BLS and ACLS certification requiredState of Michigan LicenseStrong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skillDuties & Responsibilities
Perform neurological assessments, obtain patient histories, and conduct physical examinationsManage patients with acute neurological conditions in collaboration with the neurohospitalist teamOrder, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as imaging and laboratory studies; respond to Code Stroke alerts and assist with time‑sensitive interventionsProvide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planningDocument patient care in the EMR (Epic) accurately and timelyWork closely with other interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of careParticipate in quality initiatives and protocol‑driven care for stroke and neurological disordersWhy Work with Us?
