Key Job Details – New York Healthcare Opportunity Location : Patchogue, NY 11772 (Suffolk County – Long Island nursing jobs) Setting : General Operating Room (OR), Trauma Level II Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts weekly (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2310-$2370 Contract Duration : 13 weeks with potential extension Start Date : December 1, 2025 Patient Population : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Weekend Coverage : 1-2 weekends per month, as needed On-Call : Optional Electronic Charting : EPIC system Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY RN license or eligibility) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (5 years for first-time travelers) Experience with vascular, orthopedic, and robotic surgical cases Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required EPIC charting experience preferred Ability to provide two managerial references Dependable, flexible, and committed to full contract duration Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Circulate and scrub for vascular, orthopedic, robotic, and specialty surgical procedures Demonstrate proficiency in trauma, general, thoracic, endoscopic, gynecologic, neurologic, plastics, podiatry, and urology surgeries Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including CRNAs and anesthesiologists Utilize Omnicell medication systems and EPIC electronic documentation Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies Participate in weekend coverage and demonstrate flexibility with shift assignments Apply now to join our healthcare team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Patchogue, NY and make a difference in patient care!
