• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Travel experience required

Description :

This position involves pre and post area responsibilities.

The RN assesses and reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients.

The nursing process is applied throughout patient care.

Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities include care of patients pre and post interventional cardiac procedures.

Care of patients with vascular closure devices includes application, maintenance, and removal.

Maintaining and pulling arterial and / or venous sheaths are required.

The RN operates the ACT machine and assists with various procedures.

The RN utilizes moderate sedation while adhering to safety and prevention guidelines.

Assistance is provided for transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).

The RN performs the bubble method as required when assisting with TEE.

Pain management and follow-up pain reassessment are necessary responsibilities.

Blood draws must follow the appropriate order of draw for labs.

IV therapy is a critical component of the role.

The RN will assist with synchronized cardioversion, ICDs, and pacemakers.

Additional procedural area responsibilities include assessing patients pre and post electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedures.

Assisting with vascular procedures such as IVC filters and acute and chronic occlusions is essential.

The RN will assist with peripheral balloons and stents as well as invasive monitoring.

Collaboration in various procedures such as IVUS, FFR, RF ablations, and cryoablations is required.

The RN will assist with the insertion and maintenance of intra-aortic balloon pumps and loop recorders.

Monitoring for anaphylactic reactions and managing the anaphylactic kit is required.

The MAC lab system monitoring is also part of the RN's responsibilities.
