About the Role
MaxHealth-Elevate is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Practice Manager to lead operations in a high-volume primary care practice. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven success managing large teams and overseeing all aspects of practice operations, including front office, back office, and billing functions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Operations
Oversee all daily operations of a high-volume, multi-provider clinic, ensuring optimal patient flow, service quality, and compliance.
Supervise and support a team of 25+ employees and 3-5 providers.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members; promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Partner with providers and leadership to align site performance with organizational goals and patient satisfaction standards.
Financial and Administrative Management
Manage the site's financial performance, including budgeting, expense monitoring, and revenue optimization.
Analyze productivity and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of billing, scheduling, and administrative processes.
Quality, Compliance, and Performance Improvement
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS) and company policies.
Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes, efficiency, and safety.
Conduct regular audits of workflows and documentation to maintain high operational standards.
Patient and Employee Experience
Serve as the senior point of contact for patient concerns, resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
Promote a positive, service-oriented clinic culture where employees feel supported and patients feel valued.
Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements to reinforce engagement and performance.
Strategic and Collaborative Leadership
Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategies, growth initiatives, and process improvements.
Identify opportunities to enhance clinic performance through innovative solutions and workflow optimization.
Participate in leadership meetings, performance reviews, and site-level planning efforts.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, with a focus on high-volume clinical environments.
Proven success managing large teams and multiple functional areas (front office, clinical, and billing).
Demonstrated ability to meet operational goals, improve performance metrics, and manage budgets effectively.
Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient with EMR / EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred).
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and practice management software.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Primarily office-based within a high-volume clinic setting.
Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
Must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
