We are excited to invite applications for the role of HR Specialist to oversee all human resources functions at our Jasper, TN plant, conveniently located just a 30-minute drive from Chattanooga. This facility operates on three shifts and employs 110 dedicated staff members.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily attendance records and process payroll weekly.
  • Handle administrative HR tasks including onboarding, promotions, terminations, and exit interviews.
  • Cultivate a corporate culture centered around accountability, open communication, and inclusivity.
  • Create plant-wide communications, manage announcements, and prepare reports for department managers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, and manage consistent treatment of all employees through effective policy administration.
  • Organize Company activities, events, and meetings.
  • Lead the recruitment process for manufacturing positions, including interviews, new hire orientations, and community recruiting events.
  • Administer Family Medical Leave Act and Workers' Compensation programs.
  • Oversee I-9 management with a focus on accuracy and audits.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service for a variety of employee support requests.
  • Manage compensation and performance evaluation programs at the plant level.
  • Coordinate benefits programs, aiding in claims resolution and communication with employees.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and / or Workforce Manager is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and best practices.
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across functions and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
  • Effective time management skills with a proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications.
