Job Summary :
The CT Technologist performs essential imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in alignment with established professional and departmental standards. You will create high-quality computerized tomography images for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
What You Will Do :
Assist and position patients on the CT table with care.Start IVs for contrast injection as required.Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments.Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions.Maintain an aseptic environment and clean equipment between patients.Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited program recognized by relevant accrediting agencies.ARRT certification or registry eligibility with completion within 6 months of hire; Advanced CT Registry must be attained within 6 months of eligibility.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital department focused on Diagnostic Radiology, with preference given to CT department experience.Proficiency with Radiology information systems.Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and confidently with patients and colleagues.Ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally.Availability for on-call duties and the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes when called back.Research Medical Center is a comprehensive 585+ bed hospital offering diverse medical services, including emergency care, trauma services, women's health, and specialized treatment centers.
