Urologist role at Veterans in Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of urologic evaluations.
- Procedures within the practitioner’s scope of practice and facility capabilities, including but not limited to prostate biopsy, TURP, stenting, retrogrades, hydrocele, vasectomy, TUR, bladder neck / tumor, dilatation / strictures, GU skin lesions, and circumcisions.
- Remain current on diagnostic and treatment options within scope.
- Work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school approved for VA qualificationsCurrent, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of ColumbiaProficient in spoken and written EnglishUrology Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Board of Internal MedicinePhysical requirements : must meet the position’s physical standardsEducation verification and accreditation considerations as requiredBenefits
Salary up to $295,000 per year. Normal Work Schedule : Full Time, 8 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday (weekends on call).
Selected candidate may be eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) based on fund availability. Comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, life insurance, health benefits, Thrift Savings Plan, and Federal Employees Retirement System.
