Certified Physician Coder

A company is looking for a Physician Practice Coder to conduct coding reviews and audits of medical records.

Key Responsibilities

Review and code patient medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 / HCPCS classification systems

Perform chart audits to ensure accurate coding and charge capture

Maintain productivity standards and stay updated on coding practices and regulations

Required Qualifications

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (at least 2 years)

Certification as a CPC or CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder)

2-5 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician coding environment

In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and CPT-4 coding

Strong understanding of health records and computerized billing systems
