Job Description – Design Engineer (Sheet Metal Focus)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Design Engineer with strong sheet metal experience to join our team in creating custom commercial kitchen equipment. This role is ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience with stainless steel and sheet metal fabrication , and who are proficient in 3D modeling and CAD design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and model custom stainless steel equipment to meet specific customer and industry requirements, with a strong emphasis on sheet metal fabrication.
• Create detailed shop drawings including floor plans, elevations, and specifications based on customer input.
• Manage large CAD assemblies consisting of sheet metal components, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files.
• Draft complex parts and assemblies with mechanical integration, focusing on sheet metal design.
• Generate DXF files for laser cutting and bending operations.
• Troubleshoot and adapt CAD models from the library to meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver accurate drafts for customer review.
• Support other Design Engineers by sharing best practices, improving modeling skills, and providing software training.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
