About the Role As a Lead UX Designer, you will manage and mentor a team of UX designers to craft user-centered, innovative design solutions for a dynamic eCommerce platform. You will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping AI-assisted shopping experiences for both Consumer and Small Business audiences. Key Responsibilities Lead the design vision and execution for AI-enhanced shopping experiences.

Manage and grow a team of UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Drive design strategy using data-driven insights and design thinking methodologies.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and business stakeholders to align on goals and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Elevate the quality of design across digital touchpoints, including web, mobile, and emerging platforms.

Advocate for the user while balancing business objectives and technical constraints.

About the Team This creative studio delivers experience design and creative services at scale across all customer touchpoints. The team designs engaging experiences for consumers, small businesses, gamers, educators, and students—helping them explore and purchase products and services across devices, software, and digital content.

What We're Looking For Proven experience leading UX design teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across web and mobile platforms.

Expertise in design systems, interaction design, and visual storytelling.

Experience with AI or machine learning-enhanced user experiences is a plus.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities Lead Priority Initiatives : Own and drive multiple AI-first UX projects critical to business success.

Design Oversight : Provide creative direction and critique across workstreams, ensuring user-centered outcomes.

Workshop Facilitation : Plan and lead sessions to align stakeholders, uncover insights, and co-create solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement : Present concepts and final designs to leadership, incorporating feedback and driving consensus.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Marketing.

AI-Driven Innovation : Explore and apply emerging AI technologies to enhance customer journeys.

Rapid Prototyping & Iteration : Move quickly from concept to execution, testing and refining in real time.

Required Skills & Experience Deep expertise in UX principles and interaction design

Strong understanding of AI capabilities in consumer experiences (personalization, recommendation, automation)

Proven leadership and stakeholder influence

Skilled workshop facilitation

Executive-level presentation skills

Growth mindset, comfort with ambiguity, ability to push creative and technical boundaries

Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in e-commerce, consumer tech, or retail

Familiarity with design systems and scalable UX frameworks

Background working with AI / ML teams or products

Agency or consultancy experience with enterprise clients

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
