Position Overview
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with recipe components, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong attention to detail, a passion for food, and the ability to support the kitchen team in delivering a consistent guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Wash, chop, measure, and prepare ingredients for recipes and service.
- Follow prep lists and recipes provided by the kitchen leadership team.
- Assist line cooks and chefs by ensuring ingredients are ready during peak service times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.
- Properly label, date, and store food items to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Follow food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist with basic cooking, portioning, and other tasks as directed.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred but not required.Basic knife skills and knowledge of safe food-handling practices.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Reliable, punctual, and a team player.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain).Perks & Benefits :
