Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist (CF-SLP)

Hubbard North is hiring at its new campus in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. We are a State Approved Private Special Needs School for children with Autism and related neurological differences. We are looking for Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellows.

As a clinical fellow, you will receive direct mentorship, support, and supervision from an onsite SLP. This is an amazing opportunity to leave your mark on an already well-established program that excels in providing meaningful and measurable outcomes for our students. The individual should be someone who can lead by example and work towards creating and maintaining a positive work environment for our students as well as our staff.

Each Clinical Fellow position is a one-year post during which time successful candidates will complete the required clinical and observation / supervision hours to become a fully licensed SLP. Successful hires who demonstrate they are a positive fit for the organization may be retained indefinitely as a licensed SLP and be eligible for a renegotiated compensation package.

The Clinical Fellow SLP provides speech and language services under the supervision of a fully certified and licensed speech-language pathologist, follows the scope of duties outlined by the CT Department of Education for support personnel in speech-language pathology, as well as implementing treatment strategies and communication plans designed by the student's primary SLP. Other duties include :

• Implement appropriate therapy using research-based interventions under supervision and guidance of SLP
• Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding assessment, interventions and therapy services
• Prepare written assessment reports for each student as well as writing Speech and Language goals for the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) based on assessment results under supervision and guidance of SLP
• Analyze and interpret assessment results, and share them with staff and parents
• Document student performance through data collection and observation
• Assist with AAC device programming and implementation
• Model language-based programming and therapy for team members
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings for students
• Provide parent education and training
• Complete Clinical Fellowship criteria from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Speech Language Pathology and / or the Head of School or their designee.

Pay : $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
