Description :
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by the laboratory.
- Assesses job functions and takes appropriate action when problems are detected.
- Identifies problems with specimens, test orders, registration and takes appropriate action.
- Identifies patients and specimens correctly from beginning of process to release of results.
- Accessions specimens into the Laboratory Information System, accurately recording pertinent data to be used by the physician in the interpretation of tests results
- Collect blood samples by appropriate method on premature babies to geriatric patients utilizing prescribed safety and infection control procedures to protect the patient and the phlebotomist.
- Investigates, documents and follows up on customers' concerns, inquiries and provides prompt, polite customer service.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.Benefits :
