As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building a next-generation Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, enabling seamless content workflows at enterprise scale. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to develop robust backend services that power a large-scale web experience platform. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, influence the architecture and performance of critical systems, and contribute to a product used by hundreds of thousands of customers. You will balance speed with quality, mentor peers, and help shape the evolution of a rapidly growing, AI-enabled product. Your work will directly impact both developer efficiency and the end-user experience across multiple asset types. Accountabilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems for managing and serving digital assets, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and deliver new product capabilities across multiple areas of the technology stack.
- Write, test, and document production-quality code while applying web best practices, performance optimization, and secure data handling.
- Participate in incident response, code reviews, technical design discussions, and deployment processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team processes, development workflows, and deployment pipelines.
- Take ownership of complex problems, communicating trade-offs and solutions effectively across teams.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience shipping backend features and products.BA / BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.Solid understanding of web development principles, including responsive design, accessibility standards, and secure data exchange.Experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.Comfort working in agile, distributed, and fast-paced environments.Preferred Skills :
