EOI Space is looking for a Senior Flight Software Engineer. What you will do :
Develop applications for the Bus Flight Software to interface to components and to safely manage system state and behaviors Participate in Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) activities to progressively qualify FSW from component checkout through whole-spacecraft flight testing Operate in a lean start-up environment, maintaining a laser focus on the balance between what we need today and the things we are excited to add and enhance tomorrow Collaborate with Ground Software engineers to support end-to-end testing through the Ground Software stack, ensuring seamless FSW-GSW integration and operational readiness Responsibilities : Develop and deploy software to bench, rack, and flight versions of the payload processing system Support testing and qualification campaigns as well as on-orbit updates after launch Optimize for space – select and apply lightweight but modern OSS frameworks and tools, applied in a bandwidth-conscious way to support on-orbit updates to any level of the system (OS to applications) Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field High competency with both scripted and compiled / type-checked languages (e.g.C / C++, Python, Rust) 5 - 8 years professional experience as a software engineer Relevant experience will include revision control using Git, embedded systems development, and previous space flight software development and test Preferred Qualifications :
Comfortable with SIL and HIL test environments Hands-on experience with NASA core Flight System (cFS), ROS, or other flight / robotics frameworks Compensation : The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on previous experience.Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations :
