Job Summary :
The Programmer / Full-Stack Java Developer supports the Department of Transportation’s Project Development and Maintenance programs. This role works within an agile development team to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality code while collaborating with project managers, application owners, and UI / UX team members. The developer must demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while contributing to both backend and front-end development efforts. Key Responsibilities :
- Work with project managers, application owners, and resource managers to support application needs.
- Collaborate with agile development teams to organize work, develop features, perform testing, and support deployments.
- Perform full-stack development using Java and front-end technologies.
- Participate in developing user interfaces and responsive applications with UI / UX team members.
- Program using Java and IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio.
- Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
- Develop applications using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and related frameworks.
- Use JPA or Hibernate frameworks for data persistence.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
- Develop responsive applications using HTML, CSS, Data Tables, jQuery, and jQuery UI.
- Work with Oracle C or C databases.
- Perform additional development tasks and complex programming assignments as needed.
- Support UI / UX design standards as required.
