High School Liaison/ Educational Specialist

ajor Responsibilities: The major responsibilities of the high schools liaison is to develop, grow and monitor Dual enrollment contracts with the local high schools (DCPS, charter and private schools).

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Reads, understands and complies with the University’s mission, the catalog, the University’s policies and procedures, the Faculty Handbook, and the institutional effectiveness process.
2. Respond to communications (e-mail, voice mail) on a daily basis.
3. Participate in the self-studies and committees conducted by the University.
4. Participate in the new students’ orientation.
5. Support and participate in University Commencement Ceremonies
6. Create relationships/partnerships with the local high schools.
7. Promote Dual Enrollment among high school juniors and seniors.
8. Grow enrollment and provide services to those high schools thru articulation agreements and memorandums of understanding.
9. Produces follow-up reports regarding activities and future plans.
10. Works with recruitment staff to coordinate assigned activities.
11. Create relationships/partnerships with institutions of higher learning in Dade and Monroe counties
12. Facilitate planning, organization and implementation of special events, college communication, and serve as marketing liaison for outreach and recruitment.
13. Act as the university liaison with Miami Dade County Public Schools System.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Ensure they are in compliance with Title IX of Education Amendments Act of 1972
16. Follow all FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulation and the FNU Code of Ethics. As well as, Title IX, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, as amended from time to time (“FERPA”), Florida Information Protection Act of 2014, as amended from time to time (“FIPA”), the EU General Data Protection Regulation as amended from time to time (GDPR) and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a master’s degree in Education, Marketing or related field.
2. A minimum of two years of related work experience
3. Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques
4. Knowledge of public and private secondary and post-secondary educational system.
