What we want
The Registered Nurse III, under general supervision, provides comprehensive nursing services such as patient care, evaluations, and treatment to students, faculty, staff, and community members and families participating in the East Texas Nursing Mobile Clinic program. Operates and maintains the Mobile Clinic, which includes inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment.

Other Requirements and Factors : May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Depending upon the nature of your position, you may be required to receive immunizations (excluding COVID and Flu).
Required Education and Experience :
- Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of clinical nursing experience
Required Licenses and Certifications :
Texas RN license in good standingCurrent BLS certificationState of Texas class 'C' vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employmentRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with othersAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbalKnowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.Ability to use and manage an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.Ability to work a flexible schedulePreferred Qualifications :

Provides direct patient care, patient evaluations, and treatment in accordance with Professional Nursing StandardsMaintains the highest standards of nursing practiceParticipates in reflective practiceProvides comprehensive nursing services to patients participating in the East Texas Mobile Clinic in accordance with professional nursing standardsProvides preventative education to patients as neededUses the health care team approach to provide triage of patients, physical assessments, and treatments, including the administration of medication and therapy as directedDrives to schools and homes of patients participating in the clinic in order to provide vital services in a University vehicleOperates and maintains the clinic, which includes maintaining inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipmentMaintains sterilization of instruments / suppliesMaintains and monitors patient records, assesses health care needs, and provides patient education.Reporting and Monitoring
