Senior Contracts Specialist

Our team is looking for a Senior Contracts Specialist based out of Houston, TX. This is a contract opportunity lasting 12-months with the potential to extend.

This position will be responsible for supporting the Operations department in coordinating end to end contracting from requirements definition, bidding, sourcing, negotiating, and securing agreements; planning, determining contract strategy, selecting contracting methods, identification of contract risks and putting in place risk mitigation, along with negotiation and finalization of contracts.

About you :

• 7+ years related contracting / procurement experience in the oil & gas or construction industry, LNG strongly preferred
• CSCP, CPIM or CPSM certifications a plus
• Proficiency in SAP
• Clear understanding of contracting and procurement processes
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong ability to coordinate and lead the bidding process
• Strong understanding of control principles
• Proficiency in Open Text a plus
