Biodesix is seeking a Pulmonary Sales Consultant to lead adoption of Biodesix products in a territory that includes Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. Local residency within the territory is required to build strong provider relationships, respond quickly to customer needs, and manage travel efficiently.

The Role
The Pulmonary Sales Consultant (PSC) is a senior-level role for professionals with a strong background in medical or diagnostic sales. The PSC drives adoption of Biodesix products, mentors team members, and leads market presence in their assigned territory. The PSC will mentor Associate Sales Consultants (ASCs) and contribute to the overall success of the sales team by guiding their professional development and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Lead adoption of Biodesix products by working directly with physicians and healthcare providers in the assigned territory
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive market growth and product adoption
- Mentor and guide Associate Sales Consultants (ASCs), providing training and support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and decision-makers in the pulmonary field
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and address customer needs
- Provide exemplary customer service and promptly resolve any issues or concerns
- Accurately track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools
What you'll bring
4+ years of successful sales experience, specifically in medical or diagnostic territory salesProven track record of success in medical or diagnostic sales, with demonstrable achievements in exceeding sales targetsStrong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior team membersExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex medical informationStrategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategiesProficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel up to 70%Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree preferred)Sales experience in pulmonary, oncology, or related fields is highly desirablePharmaceutical sales experience is not preferred for this roleWhat to expect in the interview process
