Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the CVOR specialty will play a critical role in providing care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgeries. This position requires a strong foundation in CVOR practices and the ability to work effectively within a surgical team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the CVOR setting.
  • Assist surgical teams during open heart and vascular procedures.
  • Monitor ECG rhythms and ensure patient safety during operations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • A minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience; open heart and vascular experience is preferred.
  • Must have 18 months of permanent CVOR experience prior to travel.
  • One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for qualification.
  • Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
  • Ability to work at least every other holiday.
