Job Title : Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) APD Waiver ContractorJob Type : Independent ContractorLocation : Community-based / Client homes / Day programsJob SummaryThe Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analysis services to individuals with developmental disabilities enrolled in the APD Waiver program. The BCBA conducts functional behavior assessments, develops positive behavior support plans, trains caregivers and support staff, and monitors progress to ensure individuals achieve greater independence and improved quality of life in accordance with APD and Medicaid standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to identify the causes and functions of challenging behaviors.Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Analysis Service Plans (BASP) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) that align with APD requirements.Provide direct behavior-analytic therapy and consultative services as approved under the individuals APD Waiver authorization.Train caregivers, family members, and direct support staff in the implementation of behavior plans and data collection procedures.Collect, analyze, and report data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions as needed.Complete all required documentation (e.g., session notes, progress summaries, monthly reports) in compliance with APD, Medicaid, and HIPAA guidelines.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with Waiver Support Coordinators, therapists, and family members.Maintain current knowledge of APD rules, Medicaid coverage policies, and ethical guidelines from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).Uphold professional standards of practice and client confidentiality at all times.QualificationsCertification : Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).Licensure : Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Florida (Education : Masters degree or higher in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.Experience : Minimum of one (1) year providing behavior analysis services to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.Screenings / Training : Level 2 background screening and completion of APD-required trainings (e.g., Zero Tolerance, HIPAA, CPR / First Aid, APD Core).Skills : Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to supervise and train direct support staff effectively.Working ConditionsServices delivered in home, school, or community settings.Flexible scheduling required, including potential evenings or weekends based on client needs.Must provide own transportation and maintain reliable communication access.CompensationContracted, fee-for-service arrangement based on APD-approved waiver reimbursement rates for behavior analysis services.
